Mental Health for LGBTQ+ Families in This Time of Covid,
Injustice, Political Stress and More
We have all been affected by the events of this last year. These conditions have taken a toll on us all, especially for our families.
This event provides a safe setting for us to connect, share and learn. We will be joined by a panel of experts in our community, who will speak briefly to get the discussions started, offer some resources and ideas, then we will open for Q&A.
What would YOU like to discuss? Some ideas might include:
The impact of FEAR | Parenting - boundaries - anger | When to seek professional assistance | Inability for connections, including for our children of color who aren't able to engage with peers/leaders in the BIPOC community | Isolation | Challenges for children with developmental differences | Chosen families not always recognized or valued | Political divide in our own families - extended family members, election anger | Social media, its relationship to mental health | Achievable coping techniques | Parents and children not able to connect with loved ones for several months | Anger, stress on relationships (partner, spouse, child) | Self-care when you don't have time for self-care (or even time to think about it)
Thanks to a generous donation, this program is offered at no cost
