Fall 2022 Series
Rainbow Families' Maybe Baby was designed over 30 years ago for prospective LGBTQ+ parents (single, married or partnered) thinking about parenthood and interested in learning more about the many options and considerations in building a family. The safety and value of programs like this, created BY our community FOR our community, are tremendous.
We cover a broad range of topics including readiness for parenthood, overview of creating family through adoption, assisted reproduction and foster care/older child, financial and legal issues, building a support network, interracial and intercultural families, the joys and challenges of being an LGBTQ+ headed family and more. The class is designed to provide a balance of active discussion and sharing, as well as to gain practical information that helps set the foundation for moving forward. Like all Rainbow Families programs, this is a safe and welcoming space.
Agenda Fall 2022.fnl.pdf
Rainbow Families is pleased to continue this very well-received support group for Fall 2022. This VIRTUAL support group is for current LGBTQ+ single parents, and for prospective parents considering single parenting. In these meetings, we'll discuss the joys, concerns, questions, even frustrations of being a single LGBTQ+ parent, PLUS choosing to do so without a partner. This group is facilitated by a well renown Psychologist. These peer-based groups are not to be considered a replacement for therapy or counseling, however.
2022 Fall Dates: Aug 16 | Sep 20 | Oct 18
Sessions are Virtual - Available Nationwide - Rainbow Families Membership Not Required

THIS SESSION:
A chat with two attorneys and a reproductive physician followed by Q&A. This discussion will focus on how legal changes are affecting Assisted Reproductive & Adoption
The Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe has far-reaching implications especially for the LGBTQ+ community. Marriage, parentage, privacy and other rights are on the radar.
We have a lot to process. Fear, anger, frustration – and sorting through the real issues, versus what we see when ‘doomscrolling’ on social media. We must be empowered and informed, and support each other as a community.
There’s no crystal ball, no one has all the answers. However, this “Legal Talk Series” provides an opportunity to hear from experts on a variety of topics such as marriage, estate planning, surrogacy and other ART pathways, adoption, birth certificates, unpacking the emotions of all this, and more.
This community service program is offered at NO COST, however we ask for a donation when you register to help us continue programs and services such as this. As a small (but mighty!) non profit in service to LGBTQ+ families for over 30 years, we are proud to offer such timely and vital outreach such as this.

A chat with attorneys Michele Zavos and Joe Fagini, followed by Q&A. This discussion will focus on how legal changes may affect Obergefell, Full Faith & Credit Act (state recognition of another state's judgement) and more.
